A vastly improved group of young musicians will be taking the stage when
the Douglas College Jazz Bands appear at the Hot Jazz Club in Vancouver the

day before Good Friday.

The two Douglas College Jazz Bands have gained a great reputation this
year with rave reviews of their latest album, "Livin' On The Edge", and their
previous appearance this year at the Hot Jazz.

The Jazz Bands will be donating their time for this performance to help
raise money for their third album, as yet untitled, which will be available
this summer.

The groups have developed into one of the lower mainland's most respected
Jazz Bands with appearances at the Richmond and Surrey Jazz Festivals and
the B.C. Music Educators Conference.

Tickets for this special evening of music and dancing are available
at the Hot Jazz, 2120 Main St., Vancouver, or through the Douglas College
music department.

Tickets for the April 4 Douglas College Jazz Band show at the Hot Jazz
Club are $3.50 for club members and students or $4.50 for the general public.
The show begins at 9:00 p.m.
