Red Deer College, located in Central Alberta, is one of the most comprehensive
community colleges in Canada, It offers the first two years of many university degree
programs, one and two-year Career programs, two-year technologies, apprenticeship
training, and adult academic upgrading.

Red Deer College currently has enroi!ments of over 4,000 F.T.E.’s in credit
programs and 12,000 registrants in non-credit outreach programs. The operating
© budget is approximately $22 million.

This is the senior academic position and reports directly to the President. The
Academic Vice-President is responsible for the management of all credit programs, a
staff of 175 full-time and sessional faculty and 70 part-time faculty, and provides
leadership in program and staff development. The Academic Vice-President is a
member of several college and provincial committees and is responsible for
establishing and maintaining liaison with the other colleges and community groups.

QUALIFICATIONS - Previous academic leadership and administrative experience are
preferred. Applicants should possess am appropriate post-graduate degree,
preferably at the doctorate level.

SALARY RANGE - $55,000 - $70,000 with a generous program of professional
development and other benefits.
