Congratulations to Creative Writing In- structor Dale Zieroth, who has been selected as one of the three national judges for the Governor General’s Award for poetry. Dale is Editor of Event, Douglas College’s literary review, and has also published several books of his own poetry including Clearing, When the Stones Fly Up and The Weight of My Raggedy Skin. Kudos for a conference... There have already been calls for a follow- up session after the successful Multimedia and Nursing Education Forum held here on November 19 and 20. Computer Information Systems instructor John Blackwell has been elected to the newly formed SCOET, the Standing Committee on Educational Technology, which reports to the Advanced Education Council of B.C. SCOET is a college-sys- tem-wide committee with a mandate to monitor and assess changes in educational technology, and to propose procedures for applying technologies to education.
