The College has received $417,600 for 1988/89 Operating Capital needs.
The Management Committee recommended, and the College Board approved, the
following expenditures:

Library acquisitions $ 66,000
Dental Lab upgrading - Phase II 20,000
Book stacks 8,200
Video Editing equipment 17,000
Classroom chairs 20,000
Theatre Sound and Light equipment 19,000
Workstations - Registrar's Office 7,000
Copier (Printshop) 35,000
Alarm System upgrade 12,000
Office Automation - Word Processing equipment 66,200
Computer software (Dental, Construction Mgmt. Business) 37,000
Other Computer-related equipment - under $5,000 18,450
Departmental requests - under $5,000 48,205
Facilities - under $5,000 43,545

$417,600

The College also received $100,000 debenture capital for handicapped
access to the building. These systems have now successfully been installed.

The College Board also approved in principle the following:

(1) Replacement of existing telephone system

(2) Expand capacity of HVAC air system

(3) Resurface the concourse - (will eliminate $28,000 annual cleaning)
(4) Replace carpet in selected areas

(5) Install Bookstore Inventory System

Funding for the above five items will be through obtaining debenture
capital, or use of Ancillary Services Funds.

Detailed Capital lists are available with each Dean/Director/Chairman
and Union/Association representatives.
