Actually, I’ve been here since September 1970, starting asa student in Philosophy; then in 1976 I became a Student Assistant in the Library, and in 1978/79 became an Auxiliary. In 1981 I left to work full-time with the provincial Human Rights Branch, and then the Employment Standards Branch, before coming back to Douglas in January, 1989. I made a narrow quilt with bright fabrics and co- workers brought in jewellery, buttons, trinkets, golf tees and other interesting paraphernalia. It hangs in the working area of the library print department at New Westminster.” If anyone would like to see this piece of collaborative art work, just ask at the library.
