There will be instances in which the melded colleges or vocational
schools or B.C.1I.T. will wish to initiate programs to meet local needs,
The normal procedures for approval of such courses by the Department of
Education will continue. In some cases the Department of Education
will refer the request to the Co-ordinating Committee so that it may

be evaluated in terms of its appropriateness te the i aati Manpower
Program.
