MAD HATTER PAGE 3 C CONGRATULATIONS It has been brought to my attention that two of our colleagues were recently awarded at the Simon Fraser University graduation ceremonies: Linda lronside, who received her M.A. (Education) in Administrative Leadership Chinese and Indo-Canadian Elites in Greater Vancouver: Their views on Education. Thesis: Linda is a contract faculty member in ESL. Vivian Stevenson, who received her M.A. (Education) in an individual program focusing on program evaluation. A Procedure for Developing an Internal ly-Based Evaluation Plan for a College Diploma Nursing Program. Thesis: Vivian is a full-time faculty member in Nursing. Gordon Gilgan | SUMMER PROJECTS CHALLENGE ‘85 This year we have been lucky enough To be funded for 14 summer employment pro- jects for students, through the joint federal/provincial incentive program, Challenge '85. Douglas College currently has 38 students working on projects in the following areas: - Student Placement - Women's Centre - Social Services - Public Information Office - Community Programs - Music Department - Business Department - Personnel - Library - Biology Department The projects are all running successfully.
