Such persons would have considerable expertise in the subject matter they wish to teach, but’ would have limited knowledge and skills for teaching adults. The workshop aims to present theoretical adult education principles in a practical fashion, using the class itself as a typical learning situation. participants could thus familiarize themselves with the theory underlying effective adult teaching, while at the same time being active participants in the process. Course Objectives: At the conclusion of the weekend participants can expect to: .(1) Make a tentative statement of philosophy of teaching; (2) Design their courses/programs in a systematic fashion; (3) Specify and be familiar with group teaching techniques; (4) Be familiar with principles of classroom test construction; (5) Design and administer measures for feedback on their own teaching. ; Course Outline: Through the use of small lectures, group.discussions, films and video tape, the course will be a lively and interesting experience.
