Seereveereverereetesecesereceeveves To The Mad Hatter I would like to respond to the organizers of the current Curling league and last summer's golf tournament regarding the advertising that says these events are democratically available to all college employees. In fact they are not available to staff when they are scheduled during the regular business day of the college. The implied assumption, when advertised through The Mad Hatter, that these are open ta students, faculty and staff, is unfair to staff who have no choice in the matter and gives an erroneous picture of a kind of democracy that does not, in fact, exist. } | ad 7 Could this be false advertising? z | Shirley Froese é #} #} | To The Mad Hatter #} | # + # | % Da | * | ¢ | + 3 % # a } } + a a Douglas College Staff Association's newly conscripted executive, met with the old guard last week for the official changeover. At that time it was decided to have twice monthly meetings on Thursdays in order to get the newly outfitted ship of state out of the ways..... so sink or swim we're on our wav. We'd like to hear suggestions from staff members on what they would like to see happen during this year and those who are not members are cordially invited to join.
