Cancer is a word that strikes fear into each of us.

  

 

 

Yet there is now more hope than ever before for victims of this dread disease, and 3,

The patient is waiting now ...
hoping for a fighting chance at

From the first emergency call for help to transfusion of the platelets to the patient,
takes about four hours ... an outstanding example of voluntary effort, science and
teamwork matching up to save another life.
