SAFETY COMMITTEE ~ DOUGLAS COLLEGE
Minutes of Meeting held

Present: John Beardsley mat (Personnel Assistant)
Tom Rosamond — (Vice President - Local 62 B.C.E.G.U.

1. During this meeting the Committee reveiwed the draft copy of a safety
check form and it was decided that this form would be printed for use
by the Committee to carry out weekly safety checks on the three campuses.
John Beardsley will assume responsibility for the Richmond Campus and
share the responsiblity for the New Westminster Campus with Joyce Chevsky
(Member at large Local 62). Lloyd Pond and Tom Rosamond will assume

the responsiblity for checking the Surrey Campus.

2. First Aid - rooms and access to first aid equipment was discussed it was
noted that both Campus Supervisors have taken the Industrial First Aid
course offered by the W.C.B never the less it was felt a closer look
should be given to the first aid situation at all three locations.

3. In the same general area a discussion took place concerning the setting
up of some standardized emergency procedures in the event of accidents
or other situations requiring medical attention, John Beardsley agreed

to contact the Royal Columbian to determine whether any special
requirements would be needed.

4, Finally a list of posters was obtained from Tom Rosamond and the safety

Committee will order some of these posters for display.

5. Meetings for the safety Committee have now been set for the last Thuraday

of each month at 9:00 4.m. at the New Westminster Campus,
