MAD HATTER 2: High Approval Rate He points to the high numbers of graduates finding study-related employment as another indicator that the supply of students is keeping pace with the employment market demand. "The survey shows that our objectives have continued to be viable, despite government cutbacks and economic conditions that have seriously eroded employment opportunities in most post-secondary vocational training programs," Shebib says. "Our high approval rate suggests the CSSW curriculum is not only maintaining acceptable standards, but we're frequently exceeding those standards." Besides the high chance of finding employment after graduation from the program, students generally have a greater degree of job satisfac- tion in the social service fields, he added. The summarized report, totalling 37 pages, is available for interested social service agencies and the public through the Social Service and Allied Health department at Douglas College. - DOUGLAS COLLEGE NEWS SERVICES Noon at New West The Noon at New West free music series at Douglas College will present Canadian mezzo- soprano Jo-Anne Bentley and pianist Michael McMahon on Thursday, November 14.
