For that reason, it provides, through its curriculum and facilities, opportunities for the College to be a major community centre for the following activities: i) academic and occupational; ili) athletic; iii) cultural; iv) social. POLICY Douglas College facilities are available for use by organizations and community groups. OBJECTIVES Outside organizations and community groups will be able to: (a) make maximum use of College facilities; (b) use College facilities on a: i) co-sponsorship basis;* ii) cost recovery basis; iii) rental basis. AUTHORITY FOR SPACE ALLOCATION 1b All Douglas College space allocation is the responsibility of the Manager of Logistical Services. is Appeals regarding space allocation are made to the Director of Physical Plant. * Co-sponsored activity is one in which the College has recognized the learning activity involved and is an active partner in the presentation of this activity. Co-sponsorship implies endorsement by the College and that the activity meets the learning standards normally set by the College.
