Sean Aune led his Douglas College rink from New Westminster to an 11-0 blanking of Jacques Van Bilsen of Ontario. Kevin McGregor skipped-his Alberta foursome to a 7-3 win over Andrew Jones of Manitoba, while Corey Sauer of Cariboo College edged Kent Hanmer of Sas- katchewan 7-6. In the women’s division, Bren- da Coswan of Alberta defeated Tina Walker of Cariboo College 9-3 and Kim Tolen of Ontario defeated Janice Taylor of B.C. 10-5. The round-robin winners from New Westminster, skipped-by Sean Aune, edged Cariboo College 8-7 in the gold medal game yester- day. Grant McEwan Community College of Edmonton won the bronze medal. In women’s play, the gold medal was won by Confederation College of Thunder Bay. Northern Alberta Institute of Technology of Edmonton won silver and Kelsey Institute from Saskatoon took bronze.
