Robbie Burns: a poet and a legend

his past week on January 25, the arts world celebrated the 251" birthday of
famous Scottish poet Robert Burns. Burns is credited as being the only poet

with a holiday in his honour, being a pioneer of romantic writing in the 1700s.

Here now is a collection of some of Robbie’s most famous quotes:
“There is no such uncertainty asa sure thing.”
“Opera is where a guy gets stabbed in the back, and instead of dying, he sings.”

“Oh, my love’s like a red, red rose, that’s newly sprung in June; Oh, my love's like
the melody that’s sweetly played in tune.”
