aay THE CITY OF VANCOUVER VOTERS'LIST 1886 --BIOGRAPHIES OF INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR DESCENDANTS [he City of Vancouver celebrates its centennial in 1986. Various organizations throughout the city and the province of British Col- umbia are undertaking diverse projects to celebrate this momentous occasion. The British Columbia Senealogical Society has taken this opportunity to commence a project of great value to genealogists & family historians. In line with the Vancouver Centennial theme we have chosen as our subject the City of Vancouver 1886 Joters' List. We propose to collect all available information on the {n- dividuals listed therein, their families and descendants. The info- rmation gathered will form an important archiva] resource. Our aim is to ultimately publish this gathered material as a series of vol- umes of concise family biographies. Attached is an alphabetized transcript of the 527 individuals who appear on the 1886 Voters'List, a list of persons entitled to vote in the 5 electoral Wards of Vancouver in that year. We urge everyone with any information regarding any of these 527 individuals, families and descendants to please contact the British Columbia Genealogical Society Centennial Committee, c/o P. 0.
