Biology grad Renata Cacik (now at SFU) is working on one of its projects, a book designed for grade 8-10 students illustrating food-chain webs of 40 different urban habitats (ranging from wood lots to golf courses). Other institute activities include an environmental enhancement project in Pitt Meadows, and Green Links, a study of ways to improve existing green belts within the Lower Mainland.
