June 15, 1983 ono DOUGL ARCHIVES College Information Sessions | In response to the increase in prospective students wanting information on programs/courses available at Douglas College, as well as trying to cope with a decrease of manpower in our area, the Student Services Department will be offering a series of College Information Sessions throughout the summer and fall. (Please see attached schedule of sessions). The sessions will be two hours in length and will be divided into two parts. Part I will consist of a General Orientation. This orientation will cover: 1. Admission Requirements 2. Type of Program (General Studies, University Transfer, etc.) 3. Application Procedures 4. Registration Procedures 5. Testing Information on: English Placement Math Assessment Test French Placement Test "Threshold" Testing - What is it? 6. Student Services offered 7. Tour (optional ) Part II will consist of specific information pertaining to the col- lege program being discussed at that date. Students are free to attend Part I only, if they so choose. If you know any prospective students who want to attend these sessions, please call Counselling (520-5486) or the Office of the Registrar (520-5478) to register, ALL SESSIONS ARE FREE. PRE-REGISTRATION IS RECOMMENDED. Special Note: Any faculty member who wishes to participate in the session(s) addressing their own program area, is welcome to do so. Please advise Barb Mowatt in advance in order that Counselling may prepare for the added presentation. (This includes advance notice of any new information or changes).
