: eck LIBRARY, TO: ALL FACULTY FROM: GEORGE AND ROGER RE: CONSOLIDATED MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT INTERPRETATION Pursuant to the Letter of Understanding between the pai iese Council and the Faculty Association the following interpretations have been agreed upon. l. Article 4.6 This article applies to full-time faculty members wishing to apply for a sessional contract for the Summer Semester. 2. Article 9.1.2 In those cases where new faculty are hired to fill positions of a cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary nature, the makeup of the Selection Committee shall take into account, by proportional representation the discipline offering the service and the study area contracting for the service (e.g. Douglas Arts, Women's Studies, Gerontology etc.). The Divisional Director involved will be that of the Division offering the service. 3. Articles: 5.7.2 and 10.1 . The retroactivity specified in Article 10:1 does not apply to the emoluments cited in Article 5.7.2. New emoluments will take effect in accordance with the guidelines specified ina previous interpretation of the petioles pertaining to Convenors (dated 28 February, 1975): Convenors appointed before 16 January 1975 shall continue in that position until they are recalled, resign or until 1 September, 1975, whichever comes first. At that time or at a suitable time prior to 1 September, 1975 Convenors shall be selected and appointed in accordance with the tomplete process outlined in Articles 5.7.1, 5.7.2 and 9.2 to 9.2.4 inclusive.
