The English-as-a-Second Language (E.S.L.) discipline now has nearly 160 students in several different classes in Surrey, New Westminster and Richmond. Many of these students have little or no knowledge of English and in order to teach them basic vocabulary items we are trying to build a picture file of common and not-so-common household and other items. Since magazines can supply most of the pictures we need, I would appreciate it if you would donate your old magazines to the discipline. Please mail them to me via campus mail or drop them off at. my office N.W. 709. If you have friends or neighbours who would benefit from an E.S.L. class at Douglas College, please have them contact me at local 277 in New Westminster. Thank you. -....-TOm Whalley HELP OUR BUDGET - DONATE GERANIUMS Are you digging up any geraniums or begonias that Biology can have? We would also appreciate any houseplant cuttings.
