aOR a oa From Hong Kong to India, Indonesia to New Guinea, the instructor Bert Schendel will carry you off to numerous exotic locations, using two slide projectors and a synchronized high fidelity sound system. Allthe pictures in the series were taken by Schendel who has been a photog- rapher for the last 25 years. He says his work is a “labour of love”. “| want to communicate my love of the world and of the different cultures,” says Schendel. Last summer Schendel travelled to the Orient, and he is now working on programs about Turkey, Burma, Korea and Japan. In all Schendel has completed 18 programs and many have been shown throughout the Lower Mainland. Schendel hopes participants will not just enjoy the series as a travelogue, but will also develop their awareness of the full potential of Asia. The course runs from February 4th to 25th and the cost is $20. To register, contact Community Programs & Services at 520-5472.
