Mad Hatter Page 5 Linkages with community agencies and groups will be actively sought out, in order to increasingly place the resources of the college at the disposal of the community in the community, rather than in the college facilities. In so doing, the college will actively market its physical resources, and especially its human resources, to the community. In the light of continuing financial pressures, and the need to modify our activities, increasing emphasis will be placed on evaluation of college programs, activities and personnel. This will result in increased amounts of money and time being spent on evaluation processes. These amounts of money will be made available - if necessary, at the expense of other activities. Research work carried out in aid of our 5 Year Strategic Plan, indicates a marked ignorance of our economic, social, political, and even geographic environment. Much more research will be done in these areas. To the maximum degree possible, college students, faculty and staff will be used in carrying out this research, because it is inherently a broadening and strengthening activity in its own right. If necessary, research will also be contracted externally, in order to ensure that college proposals and plans are well buttressed by a rational assessment of community need and reality. In the process of carrying out these activities, the college will continue to exemplify open communication, consultative relationships, and respect for the expertise of the faculty, students, and staff of the college.
