Don't tell the students till the last
minute about a test or an assignment.
We all know that they have no other
responsibilities in life and that
they can devote all their time to
your course. Make a point of pre-
paring your tests at the last minute
and be sure that the students are
told you aren't too sure just what
will be on the test. Never allow
retests; it is too bad if they miss
one of your tests.

of our teaching, or the money they
receive because of the way we kill
enthusiasm. If you grade yourself,
just how much of your salary would
you have left? That much? Grade
yourself again and don't cheat.

Community Choir of
Douglas College

All faculty members are welcome to
join the community choir - no audi-
tions are necessary but some choral
experience is preferred. Spring
concerts include participation in
choral festival in New Westminster
in March.

Rehearsal times:

Carol Concert

An enthusiastic and heartfelt thank
you to those who thought of and
organized the carol sing on Wednes-
day, December 12. It provided a
welcome respite from our hectic
schedules and renewed that special
warmth of Christmastime. I look
