designed to combine travel to world-famous sites with informal educaticnal features not ordinarily available to
tuurists. The focus in Israei will be secial, political and eccnemir; in Eaypt it will be on arc :aeslogy and antiquities. |
Sufficient leisure allows for sightseeing, shopping at exctic bazauis or at modern boutiques, museum visits,

A.M. walking tour of Old Walled City, Dorne of the
Reck, Temple Mount, El-Aksa Mosque (8th
Century), bazaars to Via Dolorosa and Church of
the Holy Sepuichre. Afterncon at leisure.
Overnight Jerusalem.

Visit Yam Vashem, Holocaust memorial; Model of
Old City at Holyland Hotel, the Israel Museum

ethnic shopping, archaeological excavations,
Roman Ruins. ees Jerusalem.
Tuesday, May 25

JEXUSALEM/BEER SHEVA

Visit te Canada Park, tree planting: the famous
Stalactite Caves. To Beer Sheva, visit with
Bedouin tribe. Dinner and overnight in Beer
Sheva.

Vednescay, May 26

BEER SHEVA/DEAD SEA/ MASSADA/ GALILEE
The excavated fortress of Massada, Herod's
Palace, the Synagogue; visit the Dead Sea area
with tour of the Dead Sea Works; through Biblical
Jericho to the Galilee. Dinner and overnight ata
kibbutz.

CAPERNAUM/UPPER GALILEE

Visit Capernaum (excavations and Simon's
birthplace) and Tiberias on the shores of the Sea
of Galilee. Also, Safed, art colony and birthplace
of Cabbalistic movement. Dinner and overnight at
kibbutz in the Upper Galilee, _
