If you are interested, you will be .required to have at least a MCN treket in Industrial First Aid. Course fees are paid for and a $25.00 monthly premium given. Courses are given at the St. John's Ambulance building during the day. Evening courses are given throughout the Lower Mainland. 9:00am - 3:30pm - 2 weeks 9:00am - 11:30am - 4 weeks 7:00pm - 9:30pm - 10 weeks (2 nights per week) The course includes basic theory of the different body structures & systems, practical experience in treating all types of accidents (from paper cuts to heart attacks), training in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation, use of dxygen therapy equipment and use of all supplies and tools kept in the First Aid rooms.
