The implantation of a breeding colony of Japanese
moles is causing concern in the biology laboratory.
These bio-engineered animals are to be used to "till"
the soil in flower pots. While the micro-agricultural
potential of these moles is considerable, their size
makes them difficult to contain in flower pots - the
central hole provides an escape route. In exchange
for the Canadian marketing rights of the micro
moles, A.V.O. Gadgets Inc. has offered the college an
undisclosed sum for bio-containment units. They
plan to market the micro moles under the name
AVO-GAD-Rodents.
