Fall 1373 The Pacific Coast Pranch,of the Canadian Rallroad Historical Assoctation, Is a group of Individuals I!ving In the greater Vancouver area who are Interested in rall- ways, both past and present. After all, the 'present' soon becomes the past. The Cranch and the Assoclation are voluntary groups working without any paid officials. We have much enthusiasm, some knowledge, and little money. In the winter months there are reqular monthly meetings and in the summer field trips and visits. The meetings this Fall will be held at the Maritime Museum, 1905 Ogden Street Vancouver, (close to the Centennial ‘iuseum at entrance to False Creek) on the following dates, starting at 3.09 p.m.:- Thursday, 13th September 1973 Mednesday, 3rd October 1973 Thursday, 8th November 1973. A dinner and social evening will be held on Friday, 7th December, at the Keg 'N aiceye® Restaurant, New estminster, which Is located appropriately In the C.P.R. epot. Non-members are welcome and are encouraged to become Branch Members. Annual dues for Branch Membership are $3.00 (Jan. to Dec.). A Branch Member must also be a national member of C.R.H.A. at annual dues of $2.00 (Jan. to Dec.). The principal advantage of national membership is the monthly receipt of ''Canadian Rail'', a glossy printed magazine of some 30 pages per issue. re op pave own Branch publications, avallable to non-members, arc listed on the attached eet. What is C.R.H. A. ? The Canadian Railroad Historical Association was formed in 1932 in Montreal and incorporated in 1941. In 1961 it created what is now the largest railway museum in Canada - in Montreal: this museum presently holds 33 steam locomotives, 34 street cars. 20 passreight cars, historic railway buildings, and archives. There are C.R.H.A. Branches in Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary. and Vancouver.
