For further information or for special requests, call Jean Cockburn, Orientation Librarian, at local 5184. eee Curriculum Development Funding Awarded ongratulations to Melody Hessing Con Adrienne Chan on receiving funding for the Curriculum Develop- ment proposals. Melody will be developing a new course in Sociol- ogy of the Environment, and Adrienne will be developing cur- riculum for Equity and Multiculturalism for professionals and paraprofessionals in the education and service sector who require a greater understanding and awareness of cultural and equity issues. The Centre for Curriculum and Professional Development funded a total of 23 projects in the province, and given the total amount of money available, Douglas College did very well. Ristock joins negotiating | team ory Ristock was elected to the B.C.G.E.U. bargaining team in contract talks with the College at the Jan. 13 Bargaining Unit meeting. Ris- tock, a Mathematics advisor, replaces Barb Offen, who has an 8-week ap- pointment as BCGEU staff representative in the negotiations.
