Wa Rael a i ea EN Canadian Bureau for International Education Executive Director Founded in 1966, the Canadian Bureau for International Educa- tion is a national, non-profit association of educational institu- tions and individuals working together to promote international development and intercultural understanding. The Bureau con- ducts research projects, organizes conferences, administers educa- tion and training programs, and issues publications. The Executive Director’s primary role will be to plan, organize and implement the work of the Bureau, in conformity with the strategic directions determined by the Board of Directors. With the assistance of a thirty-person staff, the incumbent will ensure that effective communications are maintained with member organiza- tions and government agencies, and will represent the Bureau to the public, other agencies and funding bodies, both nationally and internationally. This leadership role will appeal to bilingual, well-educated, and accomplished managers with several years of senior administrative experience, either in the post-secondary educational setting or as association executives with an education-related agency. Candi- dates will have demonstrated a commitment to international education and sensitivity to complex international issues, and also possess a thorough knowledge of the structure of Canadian post-secondary education.
