EDUCATION AND TRAINING FUND

 

This is to inform the B.C.G.E.U. members that the Education and
Training Committee's quarterly deadline for receipts of applications
is October 30. The Committee invites applications from members to
attend conferences, seminars, workshops, as well as the undertaking
of courses at universities and other post-secondary institutions.

The Education and Training fund has been established to provide
B.C.G.E.U. members an opportunity to improve their skills and qualifica-
tions, and to prepare for promotional advancement for present or
foreseeable jobs within the College.

Roger Elmes has written to report that at a recent Conference of
the Association for Canadian Studies at Washington D.C. Dr. Gunther
Doeker of the University of Berlin expressed interest in the possibility
