In early August, we have had two happy messages from the Vancouver
Foundation. On the one hand, they have accepted our request to
set up a Student Trust Account with them, which will then allow us
to challenge Vancouver Foundation grants - thus doubling contribu-
tions received on behalf of student aid within the College and
from the community. Secondly, the Vancouver Foundation has more
than doubled its block grant to Douglas College for student aid
during this year. The total grant is now $20,000.
