Dear Mr. Soles: As suggested in our phone conversation yesterday, I am — writing to confirm the desire of the College Faculties Federation to have members of our Executive meet with you, Mr. Jack Fleming and if possible the Honorable Eileen Dailly, Minister of Education. For the past several months we have been reviewing a number of items of impor- tance to all faculty in B.C. colleges. Specifically, we would greatly appreciate an exchange of information and points of view on the following: - A Colleges Act. - Plans for completion of the Meld of B.C. Vocational Schools and Colleges. ~ Educational Media Policy and Plans. - Formula financing for colleges. - University-college articulation and the role of the Universities Council in this area. - Third-year course offerings of B.C. univer- sities in College regions outside the Lower Mainland. Much of college faculty concern in these areas can probably be traced to a lack of reliable and adequate information on present and future policies and plans of the Department of Education.
