The $3000 Elks donation will help hard-of-hearing students in the classroom. Elks Donate Hearing Amplification Equipment The message is coming through loud and clear for several hearing-impaired stu- dents: the Douglas College Foundation can make a dif- ference. With a $3000 grant i the New Westminster Elks (#3), the Foundation purchased two Telex FM systems to aid hard- of-hearing students in the class- room. The system consists of a microphone and transmitter to be worn by the instructor and a receiver and neckloop with mini- ature speakers to be worn by the student.
