Athletic Banquet

A superb way of ending our athletic

season! ICl did their usual terrific

job of catering and discovered Thal
athletes eat much more than most of their
customary attenders. ¥

Many thanks to Fran Berg and Kris Remmen
for working the bar and of course, boxing
coaches Terry, Merv and Kathy for helping
out with the entire event,

Gert Van Niekerk was most gracious as the
master of ceremonies and Gerry Della Mattia
took time from his extremely busy schedule
to award the male and female athlete of

the year trophies.

Congratulations to not only the winning
athletes but also everyone who participated
in athletics this year to bring Douglas
from a 6th place finish to a 2nd place
Finish.

Don't forget that Douglas College hosts the
1986 men's and women's basketball! champion-
ships for the CCAA and we can use a lot of
volunteer help. Get involved!
