NEW PROGRAMs !

By now most of Winslow Site faculty,
‘|staff, and student body are aware of
the changes taking place in the cafe-
teria and woodworking programs.

The following will introduce these two
areas as becoming college programs with
certification.

BASIC OCCUPATIONAL EDUCATION

 

Producation and Assembly of Wood
Products

This program is designed for students
with special needs, in order to provide
acquisition of skills which would en-
able them to obtain employment or to
further their occupational training.

Individual programs will be based on

skills necessary for use of specific

tools and machinery’ in the production
and assembly of wood products. A

This program is designed for students
with special needs in order to provide

able them to obtain employment or to
persue further training in the food
services trade.

in the food services trade. A Douglas
College certificate of completion will
be granted upon mastery of competencies

Please be advised that all production
equipment loans are done through the
Library A/V Unit at McBride Site.

Requirements for the Spring 1982
Semester should be forwarded to.
Xen Wright, Audio-visual Equipment
Loans Assistant at McBride Site.

Instructors who are teaching a course
that has extraordinary need for
production equipment (in that the
success or failure of the course
would be dependent on the production
equipment), please notify Mary
Matthews well in advance of the
‘semester, so that every effort can

be made to fulfill vour requirements.

Family Health

Royal Columbian/Douglas Education
Centre's first program, one hour
in length, will be screened 3
times over the holiday season.

It is called 'Are You Depressed’ and
will be carried on Surrey Cablevision,
Channel 10:

Monday - December 14 @ 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday - December 29 @ 7:30 p.m.
Sunday - January 3, 1982 @ 10:00 p.m.

The whole series will be screened
in the new year, starting in January.
Dates will be circulated when available.
