The following will introduce these two areas as becoming college programs with certification. BASIC OCCUPATIONAL EDUCATION Producation and Assembly of Wood Products This program is designed for students with special needs, in order to provide acquisition of skills which would en- able them to obtain employment or to further their occupational training. Individual programs will be based on skills necessary for use of specific tools and machinery’ in the production and assembly of wood products. A tion will be granted upon mastery of competencies. BASIC OCCUPATIONAL EDUCATION Food Services Trade This program is designed for students with special needs in order to provide acquisition of skills which will en- able them to obtain employment or to persue further training in the food services trade. Individual programs will be based on the skills necessary for specific jobs in the food services trade. T.V. Series Family Health Royal Columbian/Douglas Education Centre's first program, one hour in length, will be screened 3 times over the holiday season. It is called 'Are You Depressed’ and will be carried on Surrey Cablevision, Channel 10: Monday - December 14 @ 7:30 p.m. Tuesday - December 29 @ 7:30 p.m. Sunday - January 3, 1982 @ 10:00 p.m. The whole series will be screened in the new year, starting in January. Dates will be circulated when available.
