MAD HATTER PAGE 4 Minutes - Publicity Committee (Cont. ) produced, and the committee was shown the mock-up artwork. c) Promotional Projects: Distribution of the businessman's letter, bumper stickers, and reply cards will commence at the end of the week. d) Posters: Both Julie Beaucaire and Julie Steele expressed the need for clarification as to whose responsibility was the pro- duction of standardized posters for the Registrar's and Financial Aid Office. It was agreed that such posters would be the responsibility of the Fublic information Office. e) Market Response Survey: The Public Information Office intends to have two students at the start of July, conduct an on-the-street survey aimed at obtaining information from the public as to their awareness of Douglas College. The survey process and questionnaire will be compiled with the help of Doug Talling. f) Radio Advertising Campaigns: Two radio campaigns have been planned for the end of August/beginning of September. CFUN and CFMI-CKNW will be utilized. The spots will run three days prior, the week of, and three days after the distribution of the Fall Magazine. Spots, with Bill Day as speaker, are planned. g) Mall Displays: Gerry Della Mattia informed the Committee of his receipt of a letter from David Williams, regarding our intent to set-up Mall Displays south of the river. David Williams was not too pleased with hee ~ 2 cence cease our intent, therefore it was recommended that Douglas College adopt one of the following alternatives: i) withdraw from displays in that area. ii) have new artwork for Douglas's specific non-competitive programs made up. : iii) ask Kwantlen to provide us with their brochures, in order that we may distribute them at these malls. iv) invite Kwantlen to seek part- icipation in these mall displays, along with Douglas. It was agreed that the last two alter- natives should be proposed to David Williams. h) Graphic Projects: The Bus Billboard, standardized format for flyers and brochures (for CP&S and the Registrar's Office) are currently under production. 4, Next Meeting The next meeting of the Publicity Committee will be held Tuesday, July 6, 1982 at 1400.
