RUGBY TEAMS SPLIT WITH ABBOTSFORD The Douglas College rugby teams travelled to Abbotsford last weekend for two league games and came away with a win and a loss. The second team continued showing impressive form ‘beating Abbotsford seconds quite easily to the tune of 25-15. Particularly impressive for youglas were rookies Raleigh Dubois and Davinder e201, both of whom had been promoted from the -ird team. Veteran Brian McAdam was “his usual teady and reliable self at fullback and scored (3 points with two field goals and two conversions¢ ‘ Ray Harris played another fiery game at prop constantly urging on the pack. Touchdowns for Douglas were scored by Raleigh Dubois, Steve Holmes and Frank Marisco. The College first team lost a heartbreaker to a much improved Abbotsford team. left in the game, Douglas led 11-10. A penalty was assessed against Douglas and on the last play 5 of the game, Abbotsford kicked a 35-yard field 3 goal to win 13-11. Scorers for Douglas were Rob MacDonald and Rick Cook with touchdowns and Dave Jagger with a field goal. - G.
