The first step is to contact Vye Flindall at local 5347, who can provide your department with a family name and description. Once you’ ve found and decorated a sturdy, labelled box, you can start to fill it with appropriate gifts such as non-perishable food, clothing, turkey vouchers, hobby materials, and treats. No cigarettes, alcohol, or used items, please. Note: Last year the College was so generous with each family, PALS suggested we start a new box for another family once each hamper is filled. Call Vye for details. 27 Flu Shots Did you know that flu epidemics occur from November right through to April, with 20% of the adult population usually infected? On October 21, preventive flu shots will be offered from 11 am to | pm at the New Westminster Campus. The Health and Safety Committee is subsidizing the shots to a cost of $5.
