(6) ASSISTANCE (7) wportanr DATES (8) ATTENTION STUDENTS A number of people involved in the project are keen to assist you on your project, especially during the initial stages of your work. After you have registered, we will send you a CUBDC “INFOPAK" as a ‘starter kit’ which contains essential information on a wide range of topics that relate to the planning, design and implement- ation of bikeways and other related bicycle facilities. The files of the Ontario Bikeway Coalition and the Faculty of Forestry at the University of Toronto contain a number of contact people across Canada and as socn as your registration arrives at the CUBDC Headquarters, the address of the contact in your region will be forwarded to you. In addition, we are in constant contact with a similar competition in the United States and we will keep you informed of news in this regard through a CUBDC NEWSLETTER. Please keep us post- ed on the progress of your project since we would like to use this information in the CUBDC NEWSLETTER. Finally, a CUBDC representative will be in your region in the near future with a film and a slide show illustrating some details of existing bikeway projects. We would like to meet with you, so it is essential that we hear from you as soon as possible. Due to a tight budget, we cannot visit every locality but we intend to have regional meetings across Canada and invite participants from each region to attend these meetings and to relay assistance to others in their region who cannot attend our meetings. We will report the results of our regional meetings to you as part of our regular communication with you through the CUBDC NEWSLETTER. If your interested in cycling or bikeways contact us quickly to have your name included on our mailing list. If you decide to undertake a project concerning bicycles or bikeways register with us as soon as possible. Once you have registered with us you have until June ist to submit your final entry. This should give you ample time to complete your project and coincides with the academic year at most universities and colleges. Students wishing to receive course credit for their participation in CUBDC should discuss their projects with their instructors. As the organizers of the CUBDC, we would support competent projects for course credit at your institute. (9.
