Kathy at the bat Sn — ga This year's Alumni Week was held October 28-31, and came up with winners all around. The CMO’s Kathy Para won an overnight stay at Harrison Hot Springs for her batty entry, judged Best Overall in the Great Pumpkin Carving Contest. Malik McCall won for Funniest Entry, while the Other Press team took Most Original. In other Alumni Week contests, the Foundation’s Alana Frymire took home a Polaris gift certificate for her award-winning cookies, while Nick Kontogiannis nabbed a brand-new snowboard for his finesse in the airplane toss. At the Second Annual Athletics Hallowe’en Howl, music student Jeanine Fynn won a Sony Walkman for her “Super Soprano” outfit. In the group costume category, Carly Goodfellow, Frankie Chao and Kim Swanson cleaned up as Mrs. Howell, Ginger and Mary Ann. And in the Douglas Derby held at the event—a fundraiser for the United Way—Courtney Kellock rode to victory with cardboard steed McCanada Dry. Thanks to Alumni Officer Christine Unterthiner and Richard Williams of Athletics and Intramurals for organizing a fun-filled week.
