Internal Matters - General

 

A very successful Christmas Party was held just prior to Christmas.
The presence of a number of Board members was appreciated.

A break-in occurred in the 700 Building last week-end, with a certain
amount of damage to doors and windows and some theft.

Registration for the Spring Semester formal programs has occurred,
and went off very smoothly.

After a great deal of consultation, we have succeeded in reconciling
this year's budget, and can assure the Board that the College will
meet its obligations without any deficit.

In carrying out this action, we have now reached the point where
Douglas College has in all ways created a fully free-standing
institutional budget, and thus have full control over our own affairs.
