The Manager is one of three (3) reporting to the Director. The other two are: Manager of Hearing/Speech Impaired Programs; and Manager of Vision Services. The Manager is responsible for providing leadership throughout the Province in all aspects of the education of exceptional children including development, implementation, maintenance, coordination and assessment of educational programs for exceptional children in all public schools and other facilities supported by the Ministry of Education. The Manager is also responsible for participating in the development, coordination and assessment of policies, procedures, guidelines and management systems leading to the efficient and effective operation of the Branch and for liaison/advisory functions for the Ministry with other government ministries, other agencies, organizations and local sechool districts. The Manager is responsible in a management and supervisory capacity for professional staff and facilities in the Special Education Services area of the Special Edueation Branch of the Program Development Division covering a wide range of program support areas. {v, M28-413
