INSIDE DOUGLAS COLLEGE / OCTOBER 31, 1989 Congratulations continued from page 5 It is indeed a pleasure to send best wishes to Douglas College in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The past two decades have been a time of important growth for Douglas College, and it is only fitting to take a moment to comment on its contribution to life in New Westminster. It is very important, for any community, to have a strong and vibrant educational system. For New Westminster, we have been particularly blessed. Douglas College has provided a consistently high level of training and education for all, and has become a valu- able resource for our residents. While each year, new graduates leave Douglas Col- lege and our community, they now know they can main- tain close ties with any new developments through their Alumni Association. To all members of the As- sociation, I bid them a joyous, happy, first anniversary. Dawn Black Best wishes for an enjoyable evening and continued success to Douglas College. Yours truly, David T. Driscoll, Mayor City of Port Moody I have read with pleasure your brochure outlining this special celebration and I would like to extend to you, the Faculty and Board of Directors of Douglas Col- lege, and the Alumni Association, my very best wishes for a most successful evening.
