In the Montreal Trust campaign, the big prize for all United Way donors will be a chance to get Bob Buchanan, VP Personnel Services and Branch Manager, as Slave For A Day ... Reed Stenhouse, The Little Engine that Could at Royal Trust Express raised $12,937, along with a similar corporate gift... A new branch of MacLeod Young Weir in White Rock thought they'd go for a $250 goal first year. They collected $750... at their downtown office they raised $7,678, surpassing their $6,500 goal. Employees of Richmond Savings Credit Union surpassed their $10,000 goal by raising $11,843. Great work! Great achievements are being reported in the federal goverment offices around town. A sampling: Canadian Aviation Safety Council held their first-ever campaign this year, and raised $468 with 30 per cent participation ... Communications Canada went over goal 9 per cent, the Coast Guard went over 31 per cent, Ports Canada went up 7 points, and the Department of Regional Industrial Expansion achieved a 12 per cent increase. In the large Employment and Immigration Canada organization, they've achieved almost 86 per cent of their $70,000 goal, and hope to exceed it in the next few weeks. The - Department of Supply and Services in Richmond exceeded their goal by 30 per cent, under the leadership of ECC Leslie Sutton, and Brenda Aanestad, EEC of the Central Mortgage and Housing Corporation led her colleagues to surpass their goal by a whopping 42 per cent! BC Crown corporations are also having successful campaigns, notably BC Systems Corp, which tallied $4,901 on a goal of $3861... BC Housing aimed for $7,000, raised $9,000 and ECC Jana Davidson is still going... And Molly Winkles, ECC at BC Pavillion expected to raise $1,000 new dollars from her colleagues, and ended up with $72 above that amount.
