Annual Royal Invitational Hosted

On October 13 & 14, 1989, the
Douglas College Women’s Vol-
leyball team began the season by
hosting the 2nd Annual Royal Invita-

tional.

After round robin play VCC was
firmly. situated in first place, with a
4-0 record, while there was a three
way tie for 2nd place with Douglas ,
Trinity Western, and Grande Prairie,
all with records of 2 & 2. Selkirk

In the semi-finals, Douglas

College rounded out the pool with a met arch rival VCC with VCC
0 & 4 record. Due to the tie breaking prevailing 3-0 (15-10, 15-10, 15-

Parry Still Confident After Ledgeview

The fifth and sixth rounds of
the B.C.C.A.A. golf champion-
ships were played over the beauti-
ful Ledgeview Golf Course in
Abbotsford on October 14th and
15th. Fourth round leader Bryn
Parry of Douglas College had a
tough two days scoring rounds of
81 and 82. Meanwhile, Kevin
Greenard of Malaspina College put

on a charge with rounds of 78 and
72 to take over the individual ag-
gregate lead with a total of 466. He
is followed by Paul Whittingham at
467 with Parry in third spot at 470.

The final rounds will be played
at Syemour Golf and Country Club
next weekend, and Parry feels con-
fident he can overtake Greenard
