The program provides vocational skill training to adults with special needs. ouglas College is uture making changes to meet the challenges of the future and ensure its educational programs and services remain relevant, says College President Bill Day. “We are restructuring to make sure we are responsive to the changing needs of our community. Our current structure was created fourteen years ago when the College was smaller and social and economic conditions were very different,” Day said. Changes to the College were recommended by last year’s college-wide Task Force for Organizational Restructuring. Guided by college-wide input and consultation, the Task Force suggested a number of changes including reducing the number of senior administrative positions, moving decision-making as close as possible to the people delivering educational services, and other changes that would allow the College continued on page 2
