ge me, i guess and publicity...

i just wanted to let everyone know itm here 2nd to give you a
bit of b2ickeround ( and maybe 2 bit of foreground). i've come here
from the noisy confusion of the Zolumbian's newsroom where i was a
general news reporter for four years, specializing in education
writing.

4 now hold the official vosition of "nublicist" for Dougl3s
College with the all-encompassing job descrintion of "initiating
and assisting in a wide v2riety of oromotional ictivities public-
izing Douglas College courses, ~rograms, and activities" in the
news media. ,

i imagine that means i will he working with many of you in
preparing effective public information m2terial and coming un with
ideas for effective publicitv for 2 variety of thines.

if that includes vou i would like to meet you. i'm on the
Surrey camnus in the cafeteria building, sandwiched between the
elackety-clack of the »rintshon and the raonity-rap of the cory
centre, local 283.

This list has been compiled from Staff Changes which
have occurred since I have arrived on 1 June.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate
all those people who have had promotions and transfers,
and at the same time welcome all those people who have
joined the staff of the college. We hope in the near
future to arrange 2 Staff Orientation get-to-gether
and in the meantime my local is 230/231 if I 'can help.
