To receive a priority registration time for Fall 1997 registration, please make sure you fit into one of the following categories: 1. If you attended classes in the Winter or Summer semesters: Call Davinder Dhillon at local 5524, identify yourself as a College employee and tell her you plan to register for Fall. 2. If you are a college employee with a student number but did not attend classes in the Winter or Summer semesters: Fill out a reapplication form to reactivate your student number. (Be sure to identify yourself as a College employee when reapplying.) 3. If you are a College employee without a student number (i.e. you have never applied): Fill out an Application for Admission form and submit your official high school transcript to the Registrar’s Office. Be sure to identify yourself as a College employee when applying. You must do this before June 20 for priority registration in July. If you are in doubt as to the fee exemptions you qualify for as a College employee, please check with the Personnel Office. @ Anne Fenton says goodbye May 29 will be Anne Fenton's last official day of work, but retirement wont slow her down. On May 30, she flies to Halifax to take part in this year's ACCC Conference. After that, there'll be home renos to tackle, travel plans to ponder and home business ideas to shape. But Fenton is used to being busy: After starting at the College in 1978 (replacing Yvonne Mostert on switchboard), she has contributed in many ways, including work with BCGEU as Shop Steward, Chair, Union Local VP and Component member as well as her current work with the College Board. Briefly April flowers Spring bloomed brightly for Psych Nursing instructor Judy Turner, the winner of April’s 60/40 draw. Judy receives $813.60 while student aid increases by $542.40. All are invited to say farewell at a tea party to Before Fenton left her desk in Finance for the last time, she noted the following thoughts: “T leave the College with mixed emotions. Way to go Val Biology Instructor and Institute of Urban Ecology Director Val Schaefer has been chosen by the Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks as the recipient of this year’s Minister’s Environmental Award — Environmental Education Category. Val won for his work as “a longtime environmental educator and a tireless proponent of better protection for urban diversity,” and will accept his award at a ceremony in Victoria on June 3.
