Open House Thank You

At its meeting of March 22, Management Com-
mittee unanimously passed a motion of thanks
to all those who helped make our first Open
House in the new facility a resounding suc-
cess. The time and effort you devoted to
the event has been recognized, and I am sure
the payoffs will be felt within the insti tu-
tion throughout the year.

Special mention was made of the extra effort
on the part of Al McMillan and Gena Ballan-
tyne.

The Open House was such a success, that plans
are under way to make this an annual event.

I would like to add my thanks to all of you
;...well done!

Room & Board For Students

Douglas College is seeking Room & Board for
Quebec, Japanese and Libyan students.

From May 30 to July 8, families are needed
‘in the College region, to provide students
from Quebec with a private room, breakfast,
dinner and a bag lunch daily.

The College also needs billets from July 25
to August 12 for Japanese students and bil-
lets for a period of one year beginning

May 1, for students from Libya.

 

‘A fee will be paid to cover food and inci-
ldental costs.

Casino Night - April 16!

Douglas College will be holding a Casino
Night and Social on April 16 from 1930 to
0100 hours, in aid of inter-collegiate
activities.

Tickets are $5 each and include one bar
ticket and $2000 casino money. Tickets are
by advance sales only and are available
from P. Lawson Travel, Student Society Of-
fice, P.E. Students, staff and faculty.

A trip for two to Las Vegas, Donated by P.
Lawson Travel and Silver Wing Travel, will
be the main prize of the evening.
