But early on Tuesday, October 30, key members of Douglas Col- lege staff and administra- tion began to get dressed up. Brad Barber, Publicist, and Mark Crozet, Founda- tion Director, donned 1860's “footman” style clothing, while the Deans put on their academic gowns and Board member Abie Klassen dressed in top hat and tails. It was all in the name of a colourful ceremony that took place at the Coquitlam Public Library. The ceremony marked the trans- fer of land for the new cam- pus from the District of Coquitlam to Douglas Col- lege. In return, the College agreed to a purchase price of $3 million via horse and carriage. They ‘| were met by the Mayor of __| Coquitlam, Lou Sekora, members of the Coquitlam Council and officials from the Coquitlam School Board and Douglas College.
